HCMC EXPORT 2026 press conference: from a physical fair to a trade connection ecosystem

On 29 September 2026, the HCMC EXPORT 2026 press conference – for Vietnam’s Outstanding Export Products Fair 2026 – drew strong interest and coverage from national and Ho Chi Minh City media.

As the press highlighted, HCMC EXPORT 2026 is more than a space to showcase products: it is growing into a multi-channel trade connection ecosystem that brings Vietnamese companies closer to international buyers and markets.

About 750 booths and more than 100 international buyers

HCMC EXPORT 2026 is expected to gather about 750 booths in Vietnam’s strongest export sectors: textiles, garments and footwear; food and agricultural products; Halal food; wood products, gifts and handicrafts; household appliances, hardware and hand tools; and export support services.

By the day of the press conference, 21 delegations with 103 international buyers had registered, from the United States, France, Canada, Hungary, Singapore, China, Thailand, South Korea, Japan and other countries and territories.

Bringing buyers closer to Vietnam’s manufacturing capabilities

A key direction of HCMC EXPORT 2026 is the “on-site export” model. Beyond meeting suppliers at their booths, international buyers can visit factories, raw material areas, production processes and supply chains.

From product to company, from factory to market, the journey is designed to close the gap between international sourcing demand and the real manufacturing capabilities of Vietnamese businesses.

Extending the fair online with the Expo Platform

A highlight of the press conference was the launch of the Expo Platform, a dedicated platform for organising trade fairs and exhibitions online. With an offline–online model, business is no longer limited to the three days of the fair. The platform combines B2B e-commerce, data and AI to help companies:

• Build and maintain a digital presence
• Digitise company, product and supply capability information
• Find and reach potential buyers
• Match trade opportunities with AI
• Stay connected before, during and after the fair

In addition, a series of 12 HCMC Export Digital Trade Expo editions for 2026–2027 is planned by industry, market and theme, keeping trade connections going online.
